The next movement in the Whole map is:

WHOLE
Acting with Integrity

FRAGMENTED
Reacting Whole Whole

Integrity is what happens when Wholeness carries through into action.

The person within and the action in the world remain connected.

Integrity is Wholeness expressed through congruent action. Whole

Congruence

Integrity does not mean perfection.

It does not mean always knowing the right thing to do.

It does not mean never changing your mind.

It means that what you say, choose, and do remains genuinely connected to the person doing it.

Your action is not merely a performance for:

  • approval

  • belonging

  • acceptance

  • status

  • safety

  • worth

The action remains yours.

Fragmentation and Reaction

Fragmentation can make action increasingly reactive.

If something outside the self carries completion, worth, or direction, then changes in that external source can begin determining what happens next.

Someone approves.

You move one way.

Someone withdraws approval.

You move another.

Someone becomes disappointed.

You reorganize.

Someone expects something from you.

You become what the situation seems to require.

The action may still look deliberate from the outside.

But its organizing center has shifted.

Integrity Can Include Change

Congruence does not mean refusing influence.

A person acting with Integrity can:

  • reconsider

  • compromise

  • apologize

  • accept correction

  • change direction

  • make a sacrifice

  • respond to another person's needs

The question is not whether the action changed.

The question is whether the self remained present in the change.

There is a difference between:

I changed because what I learned genuinely changed what I see.

and

I changed because I needed someone else's response to be different.

Both may produce the same visible action.

The organization underneath them is different.

Integrity Is Not Stubbornness

Integrity can sometimes be mistaken for refusing to bend.

But rigidity belongs elsewhere in the ST:AR map.

Integrity is not:

I will never change.

It is:

Whatever I choose, the choice remains congruent with the person making it.

That is why Integrity belongs inside Whole.

A complete, worthy, capable self can act from its own center without needing its actions to manufacture worth or preserve completion.

The next concept extends this distinction into the boundaries between one person's reality and another's:
