Our goal is to make these resources widely useful while preserving the integrity of the framework.

This page explains what is generally permitted, what requires permission, and how to request additional licensing.

Personal Use

Unless otherwise stated, products purchased through Leaving Survival Mode include a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the purchaser.

Personal use includes:

  • reading the materials

  • personal study and reflection

  • completing worksheets

  • discussing concepts with friends or family

  • printing copies for your own use

Personal-use purchases may not be shared, copied, distributed, uploaded, or resold.

Practitioner Use

If you are a therapist, coach, educator, consultant, facilitator, or other practitioner and would like to use the ST:AR Model in your work with clients, students, or participants, please contact us about practitioner licensing.

Group, Organizational, and Educational Use

Please contact us if you are interested in using ST:AR materials for:

  • workshops

  • support groups

  • classrooms

  • training

  • programs

  • organizations

  • clinics

  • universities

  • churches

  • conferences

If you are unsure whether your intended use requires additional permission, please contact us.

What You May Not Do

Unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not:

  • reproduce materials for public distribution

  • upload materials to websites or shared drives

  • resell or redistribute digital products

  • modify materials and present them as original work

  • remove copyright notices or trademarks

  • create derivative products, frameworks, courses, or materials that substantially reproduce or repackage ST:AR content

  • incorporate ST:AR materials into commercial courses or paid memberships without permission

  • use ST:AR branding in a way that implies endorsement or certification

Quotations and Attribution

Brief quotations may be used for:

  • reviews

  • academic discussion

  • commentary

  • educational reference

Longer excerpts, worksheets, diagrams, illustrations, or State maps require written permission unless otherwise permitted by the applicable license.

Presentations and Teaching

Creating independent courses, certification programs, workshops, or commercial training based substantially on ST:AR requires written permission.

Translation and Adaptation

Translations, adaptations, or derivative works require written permission.

This helps preserve the accuracy and integrity of the model across different languages and contexts.

AI and Automated Systems

ST:AR materials may not be used to train artificial intelligence models, machine learning systems, automated knowledge bases, or commercial datasets without written permission.

Personal use of AI tools to help understand, summarize, organize, or work with lawfully purchased materials is permitted, provided the materials are not redistributed, published, used to create competing products, or incorporated into commercial systems.

Copyright and Ownership

Purchasing or downloading ST:AR materials does not transfer ownership.

All intellectual property rights remain with Sam Daines and/or the applicable rights holder.
